When Ray E. Powell founded our company in 1935, he believed the company would always be successful if it focused on providing its customers with the Right Product at the Right Place at the Right Price. When Gary and Annette Christensen purchased the company in 1980, they found that this way of doing business would carry the R.E. Powell family well into the future. Over the years, this simple philosophy has led R.E. Powell to grow into one of the nation's leading fuel, lubricant, and propane distributors.

R.E. Powell supplies more than 8,000 customers – including convenience stores, truck stops, farms, homes, and other businesses – with gasoline, diesel, heating oil, propane, and lubricants. R.E. Powell is the only distributor in the Pacific Northwest to have direct supply contracts with Chevron, Texaco, Shell, Pennzoil, Quaker State, Exxon, Mobil, 76, Conoco, PetroCanada, Jax, Valero, Tesoro, VP Racing Fuels, Commercial Fueling Network (CFN) and Pacific Pride.

In days of frequent supply disruptions and pricing fluctuations, R.E. Powell has successfully positioned its own transportation fleet, General Transport, at every major fuel terminal in the Pacific Northwest. This provides R.E.
